Is it possible to change my branch to mechanical engineering within the university?

I'm in B.Tech 3rd semester in mechanical and automation engineering.

    Hello Mir,
    Many colleges offer students to shift or change branch within college if the intended branch has vacancies. It's next to impossible to change college. Perhaps if another belongs to the same institution then you have some chance.
