Dear Aspirant. Yes, it is possible to do a B.Tech with a Diploma without the Science stream in 12th but your Diploma degree should be in the engineering stream. Being an alumnus of LPU let me take an example of eligibility for the B.Tech (Lateral) at LPU after a Diploma degree, you should have passed with 60% marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent.
