I feel it would be difficult for you to get a seat in ECE in category 1. I would say try your luck. There have been situations, where it was available till 9000. I hope this helps.

Yes, it is possible for you to get ECE in category 1. Most of the category 1 seats of ECE stay till 12-14k ranks. -

Yes you can get electronics and communication. If not in first round but in second or third round, you will definitely get electronics and communication.
