Is it possible to get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech after one year gap after diploma in engineering?

Local engineering college may guide you better. But I don't see any hurdle even if you had a gap of 1 year.

If you have completed your Diploma in engineering, it is possible

Eligibility criteria for admission through the Lateral Entry Scheme for Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology:
Passed Diploma Examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) in appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology.
