Geography is the subject which can be studied by any student from any discipline. There is NOT any criteria that only arts students can take admission. The eligibility criteria for getting admission in Geography is different for different levels. For undergraduate level. You just have to pass 10+2 from any recognized board. Some university also conduct entrance exam for these subjects. For Masters level, you have to passed 10+2+3 pattern from UGC recognized university. There is no minimum age limit has been set by the government. This field of study requires high level of analytical reasoning, decision making, team working, mathematics problem solving etc. Hope this helps. Beat of luck.

Yes, you are eligible for admission in geography if you aren't from arts stream. In fact, you are eligible for admission in any humanities subject. The minimum eligibility criteria for geography honors is that the candidate should have cleared class 12th from a recognised board. Different universities have different admission procedure. For admission in the course some take admission on the basis of marks scored in 12th standard and some conduct their own entrance exam. Delhi University always remains the first choice of the students who want to pursue BA/B.Sc Hons. in geography, the university takes admission on the basis of marks scored in 12th and the cutoff remains pretty high, more than 90% for good colleges.

Geography is the science of study of earth, topography, soil, climate, rainfall, vegetation and many more about atmosphere. Geography is one of the vast subjects which have a lot of scope. For doing this course it is not necessary to have a geography background but many students study geography till class 10th so all of them know about it. But for UG course there is no compulsion of geography background. Students who has completed their 12th exams with at least 50% marks overall are eligible for admission. There is no age limit for getting admission. But many colleges conduct their own exam for admission into these colleges. By doing this course one can get job in accountant assistant, content developer, unit sales manager, MAP consultant, geography teacher, subject matter expert and tech. labs researcher. One can get job in weather forecasting department of Government or one can go for civil services exam as well.
