The IGDTUW conducts special rounds for admission to remaining seats in engineering after regular counseling. The number of admissions in this round depends on the number of vacant seats in a particular branch. With an 88800-CRL rank, it is difficult to get IGDTUW, but you still have some chance in the OBC category. You may get admission to a select branch, such as B.Tech. In Mechanical and Automation Engineering. However, it will largely depend on the number of seats vacant this year. -
Special rounds have no guarantee. You may not get seat even with 2000 rank and you may get desired seat even with 180000 rank. So if you want to give up your present seat and sit for special round you can, but there's no guarantee if you will get the desired seat or not.
