Hi there, the eligibility for B Tech lateral Mechanical is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. This means LPU NEST. Is mandatory. Good Luck.

Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for LPU-NEST (B.Tech) Qualifying examination: Applicants appearing for LPU-NEST (B.Tech) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2018, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college, etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable. The eligibility criteria in the qualifying examination: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with physics, mathematics and English) * Subject to qualifying LPU-NEST (B.Tech) * For B.Tech biotechnology (BT), B.Tech (food technology), B.Tech (biomedical engineering) and Integrated M.Tech (biotechnology). Subjects considered: physics, chemistry, English and either maths or biology or biotechnology; other things remaining same as above. * For B.Tech in chemical engineering (CHE) and B.Tech (CHE - petroleum).

No, either you need to qualify LPUNEST or qualify any relevant competitive exam of your related curriculum. The procedure of admissions is as follows: Apply online for admission in your desired stream and relevant course. Prepare and appear for LPU-NEST conducted for entrance and scholarship purpose. After, clearing your NEST you will be called at campus for formal documentation that will be one week prior to your classes. Note: After your online application, you will also be contacted by LPU authorities for verification.

Dear Student, LPU conducts LPU-NEST for MBA, engineering, law, design, agriculture, applied medical sciences, hotel management and Ph.D. LPU-NEST is an entrance and scholarship test. You get admission as well as scholarship when you qualify this exam. But there are a few courses in which you get direct admission, you need not appear in LPU-NEST if you have good percentage in last qualifying exam. Taking admission totally depends on your past academic career. If you have scored a certain percentage and meet the eligibility criteria of the university then you can surely take the admission but if you want to you take admission in a programme where you might have to clear LPU-NEST then you can take admission only after qualifying LPU-NEST.
