Is it possible to get admission into a private college for B.Sc. without meeting the 50% eligibility criteria?

Normally, admission in private colleges to B.Sc. programs requires 50% eligibility criteria in 12th standard from a recognised board. Some private colleges, however, have flexible admission policies or special provisions for students who have marginally not reached the percentage required.
