CSE bioinformatics is the best branch in VIT, if you ask for my personal opinion because of the following reasons: There'll be a very small number of students in the branch, around 100. All the subjects are the same as the CS branch, except 45. And those also don't make much of a difference. Because even the CSE students don't know what these subjects are for. CSE with bioinfo will have 56 bio subjects. And those are also very easy. If you've never studied bio before, don't worry you'll easily score good marks in them. To get seat in CSE in bioinformatics you need to get a rank around 12000 in the vit entrance exam (VITEEE). To get this rank you need to score above 60 marks. -
