Chitra,
There are several careers in media (including journalism) in writing, production or post production. You can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualisations

It is definitely possible. I find that most good journalists start early, by reading extensively in their language. They take interest in people around and they take care of their English. They speak well and they maintain contacts. You will find some bad people also among them and they have no part

First of all, be clear where you want to go either journalism or engineering. You can go for journalism based on your 12th certificate. But you have to opt for any one regular courses.
