Yes you can do M.Tech without GATE. Many institute conduct their own entrance also apart from accepting GATE score. So don't worry and apply for institutions level entrance. All the best

If you want to pursue from really good college, yes. And if you just want to do M.Tech, then no. And let me tell you, almost all colleges in India and government / private sector jobs asks for GATE score.

Yes, it is possible to pursue M.Tech without GATE. You can apply for private colleges by visiting their official websites. You need to submit an application form. The private colleges will grant you admission based on your B.Tech scores and availability of seats. Hope you've got the answer :). .
