    You can pursue Ph.D. after MBA. After completing your Masters with minimum 55% marks. You need to qualify a test such as GATE/CSIR-NET/ JEST and TIFR /NEST /SLET, etc. If you qualify written, then you'll be called for interview. In some university, you'll be required to undergo their separate written test and interview. Ph.D. is offered in two modes: Part Time and Full Time. Part Time: A candidate has to attend classes on weekends. Full Time: A candidate has to attend regular classes (56 days a week).     As per my knowledge you can't pursue in sociology. Simple thing is that a person can apply Ph.D only in that specialization in which he/she has completed his/her PG.
