Is it possible to upgrade branch in NITs?

As per your question, my answer is YES. But there are some conditions that you need to be fulfilled. Yes, it is possible to upgrade but for that you need to be studious and your mark should be best among the best. Thus, to upgrade the branch, have a contact with the office admin for more details and contact your HOD may guide you better. -
yes it is possible but it'd very very difficult and it has only two conditions
first someone from the second year (only second year) leaves the college so there is an empty seat
second you have to score a cgpa of more than 8.5 or you have to be topper of class
