Is it required for a university to be approved by AICTE for courses like B.Tech if it is already approved by UGC?

Dear Rohan,
You seems confused between UGC and AICTE. UGC is 'University' Grant Commission. They assign the recognition to university of they qualify on their parameters. AICTE is for Subject accreditation. So even if the University is UGC approved, you have to make sure that the course should be ac

Thanks for your answer. But what if the university is running its courses in its main campus? I read that the university does not need AICTE approval.
