Boston University is highly competitive, with an acceptance rate of 10.7% for the class of 2027, admitting only 8,612 out of 80,495 applicants. The average GPA for admitted students from the class of 2025 was 3.9, and while standardized test scores are optional, the average SAT score for those who submitted them fell between 1310 and 1500. To apply, students must submit a completed Common Application, high school transcripts, senior year grades, a counselor recommendation, a school report form, and a teacher evaluation. International applicants need either an F-1 or J-1 visa to study at the university.

Boston University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world and is a very competitive university to get into. As per the unofficial sources, Boston University acceptance rate is 11%. Since the stats are on the lower end, we can conclude that securing admission in Boston is not easy. However, students must not feel discouraged and fulfil all Boston University's admission requirements; competitive grades, standardized test scores, English language requirements & relevant documents in order to get into the university.
