Is it true that if I go for chemical engineering I'll only be able to become a teacher? I want to take up chemical engineering.

    No, there is scope for chemical engineering in India as there are many chemical industries which require talented chemical engineers.

    This is not true at all. From my batch, students have gone into various fields. This includes techno-managerial roles, management roles, PSU's, higher studies etc. options are unlimited in any field. Interest is of utmost importance.

    I would like to suggest you that you should study according to your interest and should create confidence and do convince your parents. I know it's hard but they are your parents so they will obviously think about bright future and be convinced at last so don't loose hope. I heard chemical engineering has a great scope now a days.
