Is it true that only one exam will be conducted for all the engineering colleges from next year?

Hello Nikhil,
Our central government announced this for all the engineering entrance exams. A new exam conducting body for JEE Mains instead of CBSE.
But this decision is kept pending as colleges conduct counselling rounds and many state governments such as WB restrict to one single exam so a decision should be taken soon.
