Hello Sebi, Yes, it is true that CBSE has done some changes in the UGC NET pattern from this year. Now the exam is conducted in only two parts that is Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 consists total 50 question of general aptitude. That all are compulsory to get solved by the candidates. The time duration of Paper 1 is 1 hour. Paper 2 consists total 100 compulsory questions each of 2 marks based on the Library and Information Science subject. The time duration of Paper 2 is 2 hours. The UGC NET exam is going to be conducted on 8th July 2018, whereas, the exam paper pattern is changed this year as the exam is now be conducted in two phases
Paper 1 is the aptitude test that is common for all the aspirants of UGC NET.
Paper 2 is the subject wise test in which the students choose the subject.
The NET exam upper age limit has been increased to 2 years for JRF as this was 28 years in past. Now, the age limit is 30 years.
