Is it true that there is now only one exam for MBA and that is CAT?

While discussing about SNAP, someone told me that just like for medical it was ruled out that only one entrance exam will be conducted for medical. There is a rule that only CAT will be conducted for all MBA colleges that eliminates XAT, MAT, SNAP, etc.

There's no information about that. There are various other management exams which are accepted by top MBA colleges, apart from CAT.

VIT Business School accepts MAT exam percentile for admission to MBA programme. The MAT Cutoff 2024 is 80 for students belonging to the General All India category. In 2023, the VIT Business School cutoff was 80, and in 2022, it was also the same, at 80.

This trend suggests that the MAT percentile has neither seen much change in cutoff nor competition over the past three years.

No, MAT scores are not compulsory for admissions to the PGDM course at ICBM-SBE, because the college also considers several other entrance exam scores for admissions to the PGDM course. The names of the accepted entrance exams are-  CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ MAT/ GMAT/ State level entrance test. Thus, applicants with valid scores in MAT can get admission to the PGDM course.
