Is it very difficult to get into IIMs? What is the level of CAT?

I am pursuing B.Com 2nd year and have scored 85% in 12th and 80% in class 10th.

You have decent academics and it's good to start preparing now. Its not that difficult. If you belong to general category, you need more than 97 percentile to get a call from an IIM.

Nothing is difficult if you really want it. CAT is a little bit difficult but not that much and level of CAT in every section is very high (especially in English). So, you have to do advanced preparation for the same.

I personally feel that it is not that difficult provided you study regularly, consistently, do more test series, interest in general knowledge. Also, since you are from commerce background you will get extra points for admission. Rest assured study well. Best wishes.
