BE being a technical field needs hands on training and is more of practical knowledge. There are instruments worth 25 lakhs too in college labs. For eg. Network Analyzer. This you won't get to experience in distant learning. Better go for Regular Course if you're practically oriented.

If you are in job than only go for distance education in technical subjects. It is irony of fate that distance engineering degree is not entertained by industries. Whether its any University's approved. If you have time and money then go for regular courses.
