I would not suggest anyone to get into Gitam for their MBA unless they have no plans to leave out but are very particular to join a college that is in vizag . Gitam is fairly a well reputed college but its masters degree doesn't add a great value , but if one has no plans of leaving Vizag ,Gitam would always be the best option . Students get an exposure to various activities like organizing fests ,conducting and being a part of the club activities, they can grab an opportunity to meet famous businessmen in person and get clarified their doubts face to face in the guest lecture sessions etc. But there are more better colleges than Gitam

Students are provided placements with good packages but the drawback is , they categorise students into A , B and C for placements. Those who have backlogs will not be given placement opportunity and those who clear their backlogs on time will be put under category C for which last preference is given whereas A and B will be their first priority . There will be learning in Gitam but the student also has to be a little quick in grasping the subject as its a trimester pattern . Lecturers rush to finish the portion on time , Although they clear doubts ,they are least bothered if or not everything thats being taught is understood by the student. Students are burdened with heavy loads of assignments almost everyday . Its worth to join Gitam only if the student is willing and is prepared to work hard or struggle , but if he wants only a degree or he prefers an easy life , its a waste of money to get into a college like Gitam . But better option would be leaving Vizag rather than studying in Gitam if your really desperate about gaining best knowledge , Gitam gives fairly a good education but whether you study in Gitam or any college other than Gitam which is out of Vizag , be prepared to work hard as they would drain your energy , its not worth the pay if your not willing to step into a hard platform. Brand image doesn't matter, its only an added advantage for your placements and also to get an exposure to various activities to get used to the corporate world , most of it depends on the knowledge that you possess and a very less preference to your CGPA would be given.
