Is it worth pursuing B.Sc IT along with B.Com? What additional benefits will I get?

This is a very rare combination of courses. There are a lot of factors that can be considered when you make this decision:
- Firstly there is no similarity in the subjects and sectors that are taught in the two courses. B.Sc IT is course that will cater to the Information technology domain whereas B.Com will open ventures in the field of commerce. On January 19 2016, UGC said that its consultations regarding allowing students to pursue two degrees simultaneously, have not received a positive response so far. Therefore, legally, you cannot pursue B.Sc. IT and B.Com simultaneously from same university or different universities. B.Com and B.Sc. IT degree are not from same or similar field and both courses are designed for meeting different needs of enterprises. In case with commerce degree you want to join IT industry it will be better to do MBA IT or MCA after B.Com.
