You can learn basic knowledge from everything. You can either learn HR, marketing or finance. Instead of just taking up a certain stream right from the first semester itself and basically job opportunities are equivalent for everyone. Be it general MBA or normal MBA there are many colleges available

I think you have to look best college in terms of return on investment (ROI). Many tier 2 colleges have very high fees and you will get nothing on the name of placement. Also, there exist many -schools which have good value of ROI.

Tier 1 colleges are few, so limited number of seats are there and in a country where the population is 1.3 billion you cannot expect every aspiring student to get into IIMS, IIFT and FMS. You should be good to get into these colleges.
