B.Ed is the most sought after degree that makes one eligible to apply for a teachers post. This one-year degree can be obtained after graduation. Besides regular degrees, many colleges and universities award B.Ed degree in the distance learning mode as well.
Universities like Annamalai, and MD Rohtak started correspondence B.Ed much before a regulatory system was formally put in place for such programmes.

Universities like Annamalai and MD Rohtak began offering correspondence B.Ed. Programmes before such programmes were formally subject to regulation. Or anyone taking a conventional classroom course is superior because they tend to study and comprehend more and get a degree as a result. But as far as a teaching career is concerned, a B.Ed. Is merely a symbolic document. If you are employed, you can enrol in a distant learning or correspondence B.Ed programme; however, if you are unemployed, I would advise you to enrol in a regular or residual programme.

With all such witnessed opportunities, it opens up good amount of competition and hence, in my opinion Candidates with full-fledged fulltime valid degrees shall hold competitive edge over distance learning degrees.

    1. Lack of Proper Implementation
    2. Almost haphazard Functioning

B.Ed from distance learning is not advisable as In India distance learning is not preferred. It is advised to pursue B.Ed from Regular if you are not able to pursue through regular mode due to any reason then it is advised to pursue Post Graduation course along with B.Ed from distance mode, because it will give you dual benefit and help you the most in future studies and growth in teaching field.

It's worth to pursue B.Ed through distance mode if you are working. With a full-time job, you get hands-on experience and based on your experience, you can easily study through corresponding courses. Experience helps you to understand it further. Correspondence B.Ed has value when you are in job otherwise regular B.Edd gives you more theoretical knowledge.
