1. You can pursue a job along with studies: A major chunk of students who actually opt for distance education are those who don't want to give up their jobs, but want a higher education too. Distance education comes as a blessing for such students. You can study on weekends, when you are back from work or even in the middle of the night. You get to learn while you earn.

According to me, it is not a good idea to pursue D.Ed through correspondence as it will not impart good practical and theoretical knowledge. Regular course is better as it will give you more opportunities to get a good exposure.
