The programme is intended to prepare teachers for employment as elementary education teachers in public and private primary schools. JBT exposes the fundamental principles of teaching and learning in order to prepare instructors for delivering primary education. It is a professional Certificate programme that prepares students for employment in the field of elementary education by providing opportunities for junior teachers and support workers. The minimum requirement for JBT is 10+2 from an accredited board of education. The course lasts for two years.

I would like to enlighten you that distance learning in India doesn't worth much as if it is your basic education and you don't get to do anything along with JBT.
It is suggested that if you go for distance learning for JBT then you should pursue other courses like graduation and post-graduation.
