Hi, Journalism is a professional course and teaches the students practically. So, if you want to pursue MA in journalism because you need the degree in papers or because you are working somewhere as a media professional already, then go for it. But if you seriously want to pursue a degree to eventually get a placement in media, please go for a regular course. Moreover, if you are one of those who have studied some other subject except journalism in your graduation then again go for a regular Masters course so as to get a hands-on experience.
This being said, one should always try and go for regular courses for professional courses like

I don't think, you should pursue these courses through distance learning, because you won't be able to get practical exposure. If you want to get practical knowledge also then you should go in for regular hours.

Distance won't be a good idea in my opinion. Some things require practical knowledge and exposure and you should go through it to achieve the perfection. This will also help you in your future jobs when you will gain more skills. So, rather go for regular.

Hello, any sort of education is worth, but practical classes would help you in a much better way. Journalism and mass communication is more practical than theory and distance learning would probably indulge much of your time in being familiar with the entire thing. Choose wisely. All the best.

Hello! Whether pursuing journalism through distance mode or not depends upon many cases. If you have done your BA in journalism also through correspondence mode then I would not suggest you to go for distance learning again for the Masters course as well. Because this time, you would lack in the technical know- how which is very important in this field. However, if you have done your BA in journalism through regular mode, you may take the chance to do MA in journalism & mass communication through distance mode. But my suggestion is that if you have decided to do MA through distance mode, then do this course only through a recognised un

With a distance learning course, you will have to put in some extra efforts to fulfill a career in this field and you will need to show your capabilities through your projects and assignments and practicing in this field. Some options in this field are:
