    While I cannot tell you if its worth or not to pursue BA because I myself am a student. But I can tell you that people choose to do BA in subjects like history, political science, economics or even philosophy alongside their preparation for the exams. I think these subjects may help give you a broader perspective into the subjects, however, it depends upon your caliber and choice; if you wish to prepare full time or not. But since you have to have a degree in order to be eligible, I think, BA is a good choice.
