I don't think it is worth to pursue a media management course through distance learning. No doubt that distance learning programmes are gaining popularity these days and give you the flexibility of learning at your own time and place convenience. But it does lack quality of study as there is no direct contact with the faculty. Most students sign up for distance learning programmes but are unable to devote much time to the study material due to their ongoing job or some other parallel regular course. Eventually, they mug up the study material without really understanding it right before the exams and hence the quality of learning is compromised. Hence, most big companies do not prefer to hire candidates who have pursued a course, especially a management level course through distance learning mode. Also, media is one field that requires extensive practical exposure. Any programme that is related to media industry requires a classroom teaching environment and hands-on experience to understand the field well.
