Is it worth to pursue PGDBF programme offered by ICICI? Can one expect a bright future after joining ICICI?

ICICI Manipal Academy of Banking and Insurance (IMA) is a joint venture of the ICICI Bank and the renowned Manipal Group. The Academy offers many courses to train the personnel of the ICICI Bank. Probationary officer programme is one of those programs. The Academy provides Probationary officer programme to train selected Probationary Officers of the ICICI Bank. Main focus of the program is to impart functional knowledge of general management and specialized knowledge of banking related subjects. The training at the academy is supplemented with practical training in bank-branches. The objective of this program is to train selected Probationary Officers of the ICICI Bank in order to enable them to successfully hold first level managerial positions in the their organization. On successful completion of this program, The Probationary Officers join the Bank in the grade of Assistant Manager-Band I. Candidates may be placed in any of these areas: Corporate Banking, Private Banking, Risk and Credit Management, Treasury, Branch Banking, Relationship Management / Channel Management. However, this depends on the requirement in the bank. Upon absorption with ICICI Bank, the Probationary Officers will be on probation for a period of one year and confirmed in the services of the Bank subject to good performance.
