    Hi, Footwear industry is largely divided three segments: designing, manufacturing and marketing. Designers handle the creative part of the job that is designing styles and patterns. They are hired as technical designers who have formal training in shoe pattern-making, cutting, designing and sample preparation, or as stylist designers. They have to be aware of the international fashion trends and have the ability to conceptualise a saleable product. The retail sector holds a promising future for the professionals trained in this field.
    India today presents itself as a gold mine for any category, the footwear industry being no different.
