No, both syllabus are different from each other. The SSC JE syllabus is based on Diploma level and the UPSC ESE syllabus is based on Graduation level. Paper 1: Objective Multiple Choice 1- General Intelligence and Reasoning 2- General Awareness 3- Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part-B General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical) Exam mode: CBT Online Paper 2: Descriptive Test 1- Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) 2- Part-B General Engineering (Electrical) 3- Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical) Exam mode: Pen and Paper Mode. UPPSC AE Paper 1 Exam Pattern: Total duration of the examination: 2.5 hours Total number of questions: 125 Marking scheme: 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark deduct for every wrong answer. The questions will be from General Hindi and Technical Domain of particular engineering branch (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) of the appearing students. UPPSC AE Paper 2 Exam Pattern: Total duration of the examination: 2.5 hours Total number of questions: 125 Marking scheme: 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 marks for every wrong answer.
