Is JEE Main required for NIT Uttarakhand?

<p>NITUK offers the&nbsp;<strong>BTech</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/college/national-institute-of-technology-uttarakhand-srinagar-pauri-garhwal-39397/courses/me-mtech-bc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MTech</a>&nbsp;programmes at the UG and PG levels, respectively, in five specialisations, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science &amp; Engineering, Electronic &amp; Communication Engineering, Electrical &amp; Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.</p><p>For admissions to its BTech and M.Tech programmes, NITUK accepts the scores of national-level exams:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-exam" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JEE Main</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GATE</a>, respectively.</p><p><strong>NIT Uttarakhand JEE Mains 2024</strong>&nbsp;cutoffs have been published for admission to BTech, Integrated BTech, and BArch programs. In Round 1, JoSAA cutoffs for 2024 varied between the&nbsp;<strong>15878</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>42378</strong>&nbsp;values. Notably, the&nbsp;<strong>B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering</strong>&nbsp;is highly competitive among General category students under the AI Quota.</p><p>The course that had the least competition was <strong>B.Tech. in Civil Engineering</strong>, which had a Round 1 closing rank of&nbsp;<strong>42378</strong>&nbsp;for the General category. <p>NIT Uttarakhand admission is primarily entrance-based. The selection for admission to various courses is based on national-level entrance exams, such as<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-exam">&nbsp;JEE Main</a>, &nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam">GATE</a>, etc. Final seat allocation is done through counseling sessions such as <a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/ccmt-counselling">CCMT</a>, &nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/science/ccmn-exam">CCMN, </a> and others. NIT Uttarakhand accepts JEE Main scores for admission to its BTech course only. Hence, candidates can apply for admission to various courses except for BTech without JEE Mains at NIT Uttarakhand.</p>
