Is JUIT Solan best in Solan?

<p>JUIT Solan is one of the best colleges in Solan for technical education. It has been ranked by various agencies such as NIRF, Outlook, IIRF, THE, and Shiksha based on different criteria such as academic quality, innovation, placement, and infrastructure. Some of the highlights of JUIT Solan are:</p><ul><li>It has been accredited by NAAC with B+ grade and NBA for its B.Tech programs.</li><li>It has a beautiful campus spread over 25 acres in the Waknaghat hills, with modern facilities such as auditorium, library, hostels, and sports grounds.</li><li>It has a strong faculty team with many PhD holders and experienced professionals from the industry.</li><li>It has a good placement record with top recruiters such as Microsoft, Adobe, BSNL, EY, and Amazon. The highest CTC offered in 2023 was INR 30 LPA.</li><li>It has a vibrant student life with various cultural and technical events, clubs, and societies.</li></ul><p>However, JUIT Solan may not be the best choice for everyone, as it also has some drawbacks such as:</p><ul><li>It has a high fee structure, which may not be affordable for some students. The tuition fee for B.Tech is INR 1.2 Lacs per semester, and the hostel fee is INR 50,000 per semester.</li><li>It has a strict attendance policy, which requires students to maintain at least 75% attendance in each subject. Failing to do so may result in detention or fine.</li><li>It has a remote location, which may limit the exposure and opportunities for students. It is about 60 km away from Shimla, the nearest city, and the public transport is not very frequent or convenient.</li></ul><p>Therefore, JUIT Solan may be best in Solan for some students, but not for others.</p>
