The University of Kalyani, founded in 1960, is a collegiate public research university in Kalyani, West Bengal, India, governed by the Government of West Bengal, affiliated with the University Grants Commission, and certified by the NAAC. The university oversees 64 affiliated colleges, all of which provide CBCS (Choice-Based Credit System)-type degrees. Kalyani University is a public university in West Bengal, India. It was established in 1960 by the Government of West Bengal. The university recognised by the UGC and all its distance learning programmes is approved by the UGC-DEB. In fact, some of its departments are also approved by the AICTE. Kalyani University offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in a variety of disciplines.
