Karunya University Coimbatore was established in 1986 as an Engineering College by Karunya Educational Trust. Karunya University is a private deemed-to-be university that is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), MHRD. The university is also approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), and accredited with 'A+' Grade by NAAC ( National Assessment and Accreditation Council), NBA (National Board of Accreditation), and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Also, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences has also been ranked 107 by NIRF 2022 for B.Tech.
