Keele University is a public university established in 1949 by Lord Lindsay, the former Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University. Queen Elizabeth II granted the Royal Charter to Keele University in 1962. The university’s 80% of the research is deemed to be world-leading or internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021). Apart from this, Keele University is ranked No. 1 in the UK by students in the Student Crowd University Awards 2022.
