    KIIT School of Computer Applications was established in 1997 and is located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is a private college and offers AICTE-approved courses to students at UG and PG levels. KIIT School of Computer Applications is a constituent unit of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology  (Deemed to be University U/S 3 of the UGC Act 1956). KIIT was initiated in 1992-1993 as an industrial training institution. However,  1997 is considered as the base year for the University.
