Is KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology really good placements wise?

<p>KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) has an unsatisfactory placement record, which get better every year because of the efforts made by its placement cell. However, the packages are mostly average, ranging from 3 to 6 Lacs per annum, with a few exceptions of higher packages. Regular visits are made to the campus by reputed companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant but much rarely do core engineering firms set foot there. Students pursuing Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) tend to do better than graduates from other disciplines during placements. In summary, although KPRIET&rsquo;s placements are not exceptional they are still satisfactory; hence the institute is always working towards improving its placement statistics.</p>
