Infrastructure/Facilities:
Library: The central library known as Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) library comprises three blocks: Ranganathan Bhawan, Ram Prasad Bismil Golden Jubilee Reading Hall, and Savitri Bai Phule Block, which has a combined seating capacity of 1270.
Presently, the library has a well-maintained, rich collection of 3,93,970 books, 15,328 manuscripts, and 221 journals covering all the subjects of different disciplines.
The Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Library comprises various sections such as Registration, Periodicals, Internet Services Center, Technical, and Reference and provides open access to its book and periodicals collections.
The buildings are centrally air-conditioned and equipped with all modern amenities for the reading of the candidates, which remain open from 9.00 a.m. to midnight on all the days throughout the year.
Hostels: At present, there are 25 hostels on the sprawling campus of Kurukshetra University. The girl's hostels provide all important facilities within the complex. These include a common reading hall, an ATM, photocopy facilities, a common gym, a computer lab, and many more. Each hostel on the campus operates its mess, providing hygienic and nutritious meals with a varied menu.
Most of the hostels have common rooms, reading rooms, computer labs, and indoor and outdoor game facilities. The Kurukshetra University has also made available the facility for male hostelers to park their vehicles in the central parking lot near their hostels. The girls' hostels are also equipped with round-the-clock ambulance services and a dispensary.
Sports Complex: The Kurukshetra University organizes All India Inter-University Tournaments and International Tournaments, which include Korfball, Netball, Roller Skating, Boxing, Wrestling, Cycling, Waterpolo, Weight Lifting, and many more games. Also, the other facilities available at Kurukshetra University are a basketball court, a cricket ground, a football ground, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a volleyball court, a yoga center, a hockey field, a handball field, an athletic track, and a kabaddi court.
Laboratories: A computer lab, a physics lab, and a research and training lab are available at Kurukshetra University.
Other Facilities: Seminar Room, Heritage Museum, Bank and ATM Facility, Post Office, Market, and Senate Hall are available at Kurukshetra University.
Placements:
The average package offered during Kurukshetra University Bachelor of Technology placements in 2023 has not been released. However, according to the Kurukshetra University National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) report 2023, the median package offered during Kurukshetra University undergraduate 4-year placements in 2022 stood at INR 4.2 lakh per annum. Earlier, the median package offered during Kurukshetra University undergraduate 4-year placements in 2021 and 2020 stood at INR 3.25 lakh per annum.
However, according to the Kurukshetra University National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) report 2023, a total of 224 candidates were placed out of 1,050 candidates during Kurukshetra University undergraduate 3-year placements in 2022. Further, a total of 494 candidates out of 2,292 were placed during Kurukshetra University's 2-year postgraduate placements in 2022.
