Is lateral entry in MBA(IT) from Sikkim manipal university distance education eligible to take UGC NET exam?

I have completed PGDIT(2 years) from SCDL, pune and now I am thinking to take admission in lateral entry in MBA(IT) from Sikkim manipal university through distance learning. will this make me eligible to take UGC NET exam? Please let me know if anyone has any idea, or if any one has given NET

Yes, because finally you will get an MBA degree from a university which is recognized from UGC. Lateral entry is valid because you have done PGDIT for 2 years. This MBA (IT) is a conversion of your diploma programme in to a degree programme.
