Is LEET score valid for all the engineering colleges across India?

Hello Students, LEET or Lateral Entry Entrance Exam. This is an exam that is conducted by some states only for Diploma holders to directly join the 2nd year of engineering course. Here, I want to bring out an interesting fact that most of the states do not allow students of other states to take lateral entry directly into the 2nd year of engineering course. As this is the case, many states even do not conduct any exam since exams of Diploma are conducted by the same agency as the one coordinating lateral admissions and hence admissions are based on marks obtained in this exam. With many private colleges failing to get enough students in the first year, they have opened their doors for lateral entry. However, Govt. colleges do have a quota for such type of admissions. It is announced every year at the time of admission and is not known beforehand. Yes, this is a great motivator for many students who have opted for Diploma after class 10th and are desirous of getting a degree in engineering. Lateral entry avoids any wastage of years. The competition is invariably tough and only the best candidates get selected. To conclude, I will say that it is an exam that is not universal across India, it is restricted to the state only and many states even do not conduct this kind of exam.

First of all I want to let you know that later entry entrance exam test are not valid for all the engineering colleges across the India as most of the engineering colleges does not accept lateral entry but there are some of the colleges who accept lateral entry into the colleges and also provides scholarship to the student if he has done very well in his first year of the college. Different states technical education board and universities conduct their own LEET examination for lateral entry admission in engineering. Score obtained in LEET of one state is not valid in engineering colleges of other states.
