Is Lovely Professional University (LPU) the best for a BCA in India?

Well, I am myself not a BCA student yet I have number of friends from suh branch in LPU. Moreover, my neighbor friend is also pursuing his BCA at LPU and now studying in the final year. Let me share with you what his views are for the same course. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing a curriculum. Instead of using old school books and lectures, LPU has experimented with books, interactive problem-solving interactions and working through real-world applications. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements. Some of the roles that one can bag after completing a BCA programme is that of a System engineer, software tester, junior programmer, web developer, system administrator, software developer etc. BCA graduates also have good employability opportunities in public sector organizations. Placements in this university is good if you are a brilliant student, hardworking and have good ideas and projects with you. The internship experience also helps. The average salary package offered is approximately around 3 LPA. But in BCA course, a lot of students consider pursuing MCA from foreign universities. He has attended one day workshop on Digital Electronics was also organized by school of computer applications where students of BCA were taken to the digital lab where they got the live exposure to working on the instruments and equipment used in digital electronics. Students are involved in various Co-curricular Activities like AndroidWorkshop, ERP, PHP, LAMP, Guest lecture on database administration, Mobile Application development, Quiz IT, iPhone Workshop, etc. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is between 9 LPA to 11 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, TCS and many other companies visit our campus for placements. But this is BCA that's why a lot of students think to do MCA from foreign universities. Some of the alumni are placed in renowned companies. I stayed in LPU hostel during my post graduation years, and I had few friends from BCA course so I have idea about this course. Students learn about some interesting subjects like Mathematics, Computer Programming, Computer Networking, Database Management Systems and, Software Engineering. Besides the core compulsory subjects, students can choose from a wide variety of subjects as their pathway elective or minor elective. They told me their department have separate laboratories for all the domains: Programming Lab, Networking Lab, Systems and Architecture Lab, Databases Lab, Software, Engineering Lab. Although, choosing electives thoughtfully might not sound like a big deal in your first year. However, they make a huge difference to your career. For example, if you want to study further after BCA you can choose pathway electives like Artificial Intelligence, or if your looking forward to adding more skills to your resume to find a good job, you can opt for pathway electives like Javascript, Front-End Web Development, App Development, etc. Their department conducted guest lectures for BCA students by IBM, DCDS, ANR Infotech, kayako Infotech, NIIT, Indian Air force, Wipro BPO, Google, Safaltech, Pigford, AMCAT, RED, Betasoft, etc. Students are involved in various live projects, They attended session on Android Apps development. The workshop was conducted by Er The School also organized 18 hours Workshop and Hands-on. Mayank RajJaiswal of Techknow Innovators, working as smartphone software development in Samsung R&D currently in South Korea Samsung headquarters. Hello Sameeksha, LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies. I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommend that if you really want to make your career with a good level of education then you should go for LPU. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. But after a long comparison with all relevant facts and figures, I joined LPU and now I am an alumni of LPU and the Decision for LPU was the best decision of my life. LPU gave me an extra edge in everything. During My graduation, My roommate was doing BCA and he is now placed in a shell oil company as a Database Engineer. As per his feedback, the computer application department is one of the finest departments of LPU. The curriculum is so good and benchmarked with the foreign universities and Industry requirements which gives a clear gateway to good placement.
