In North India, LPU is one of the best universities, also coming to its placements, it ranks good. So, I would say you might choose LPU for lateral entry, but obviously there are better colleges, so yes you might want to shuffle your options.

The eligibility for lateral entry in B.Tech at LPU is passing with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering). (Any stream) (3 years after class 10th) or B.Sc (Non-Medical) or B.Sc (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017. Or, in case marks scored in Diploma (engineering) or B.Sc (Non-Medical) or B.Sc (Computer Science) are 70% or above, then LPUNEST-2020 will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla

After you log in to the counselling portal after the results go out, you need to honestly fill your choices of course/specialization. LPU will then look for which rank you are in the merit list, check availabilities, and allocate seats accordingly based on your previously chosen course/specialization seats and rank.
