Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. Being an alumni of LPU, I can confidently say that LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as it has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR.
