Lovely Professional University is really good University. Right from the teachers to placements, everything's amazing and taken care of. LPU is one the best private university which is recognised by : UGC National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). ICAR COA ACBSP accreditation Bar Council of India (BCI) Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). In addition to this, LPU has many rankings to its credit: 1.Ranked among Top 10 Engineering Institutes in India by India Today recently. 2.Ranked as 5th In Top 20 Engineering Colleges in India with Excellent Industry Exposure by Higher Education in 2016. 3.Top 50 Private Universities by India Today 4.Ranked as Best Private University by ASSOCHAM recently. 5.Ranked 2nd by Hack Earth in the race of most technologically aware crowd thrusting LPU ahead of IITs and NITs 6.LPU is ranked No. 2 among Indian B-Schools in 'Outreach and Inclusivity' by NIRF 2018 ranking released by MHRD, Government of India. 7.The University is ranked 19th in India's Leading Top 50 B-Schools by India Business Journal. 8.LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India &amp; thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY &amp; ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION &amp; ORS, and various other cases. LPU is also having tie ups with multiple foreign Universities all over the world. Related to Infrastructure / asset approval, LPU is also having approval from Punjab Pollution Control Board, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited. Being an alumni of LPU, I can confidently say that LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as it has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY &amp; ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION &amp; ORS, and various other cases UGC approved is better as it will be internationally recognised. A)UGC: Lovely Professional University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. b) Association Of Indian Universities (AIU):Lovely Professional University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the national level body of universities in the country promoting university activities especially by way of sharing information and co-operation in the field of education, culture, sports and allied areas and recognised to grant equivalency of degrees awarded by foreign universities.
