Yes, LPU provides good support for Nutrition and Dietetics. Scholarships, placements, exposure to the industry, efficient and knowledgeable faculty, flexible curriculum and teaching pedagogies, infrastructure, and diverse culture and international exchange programs and internships makes LPU unmatchable. Many outer agencies have ranked LPU best in terms of placements, internships, etc. Around 450+ companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. Hi, Yes its a good course to go for. The eligibility is 60% with English Physics Chemistry &amp; Biology/ Biotechnology). The profession of dietetics contributes to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of populations, communities and individuals. Dietitians have a defined and recognisable body of knowledge and utilise scientific principles and methods in the study of nutrition and dietetics, applying these results to influence the wider environment affecting food intake and eating behaviour. The scope of dietetic practice is such that dietitians may work in a variety of settings and have a variety of work functions. The course involves a specialised study of all aspects of nutrients and food, starting with harvesting and consumption by means of cooking. It involves diet planning and patient counselling. The course is career oriented in nature. The career prospects include Dietician &amp; Nutritionist. The course offered by different departments (theoretical and practical) is taught to the students on credit basis. Its Research Oriented. So far, the students are working in the companies like VLCC and Private hospitals like Tagore hospital, SGL hospital etc.

It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing a curriculum.
