Is LPU a good university to opt for B.Sc agriculture?

B.Sc. Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days, LPU is the first university to get the ICAR accreditation for agriculture courses. This is the main reason why students are preferring LPU over other universities. I have done my Engineering from LPU, and during my graduation I had a room mate who was enrolled in this course. He even got campus placement and was also selected for some internship at Nestle during her course. Major points as shared by him and as per my knowledge for Agriculture course are : LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. The future of agriculture lies with a faith born of deeds. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. LPU has allocated a separate space for agriculture students for their practical learning and growth. Each student is allocated with a separate piece of land to conduct hi or her own research work. LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses a lot on practical knowledge and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects. Students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills.

B.Sc. Agriculture. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation down the lane and mark itself amongst the few of the top private universities. Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. So, I would prefer you to choose LPU to pursue your higher studies.

LPUs school of Agriculture has ICAR approval. Students who have passed out from LPU have got jobs in various departments and states. Lovely Professional University has made a good name for itself in a short span of time by working hard for its students in terms of education, faculty, placements, infrastructure, etc. It works for the overall development of its students. Its main aim is to provide students with ample exposure both in the form of theoretical and practical knowledge for which there is much emphasis on workshops, live projects etc. Along with class room teaching. The university has made quality education possible for all by providing good scholarships under different categories. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students are given a lot of on-job training as well as work on projects where they can earn also. Agriculture placements of the university are very good with students getting high packages. Now, these were just some of the few advantages of LPU but there is much more good to say about LPU like its infrastructure, study environment, placements, cultural programs and what not, I can definitely say that LPU would be worth joining.

LPU is one of the best choices for agriculture programme. Lovely Professional University is the first private university accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. No other private university has this accreditation. LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package.

I would suggest you to read my friend's experience Placements: Placements are really really good. The university conducts exhaustive Pre Placement Training with 3rd party trainers like FACE Academy, SKillrack, Aspiring Minds, conducts a workshop and soft skills grooming sessions as well. More than 200 companies visit on campus, and if you have your basics cleared and you have proper communication skills, you will be guaranteed a placement. Companies in the likes of Amazon, ITC, Wipro, L&T, Cognizant, TCS, Practo Technologies, Mahindra, TechMahindra, Decathlon, VenturePact, Flipkart, PWC, Indian Army, DBS Bank, Axis Bank, Vodafone etc. conduct placement drives. As of 2016 batch, 100% placement is being targeted by the university administration. Only go for IT, CS and EC only.

Hi Utkarsh, Definitely, LPU is one of the beat and premium School of Agriculture in India. More it LPU is a first private University to get ICAR approval in India. It is very fortunate that the students who are pursuing B.Sc. Agriculture from LPU will more opportunities to learn and will definitely get more scope of better future than any other institutions.

Hi, LPU is the only private university which has been accredited by ICAR. It has set certain standards and for this feat, it has received many accolades. The experienced faculty along with the high standards maintained for the grooming of students has made it a hub of academic excellence. Dear, Every university is doing good for its students. So, it is difficult to say which one is best. But yes, there are certain parameters to compare to select the best institute. LPU has ICAR accreditation for his agriculture courses. No other private university has this accreditation. Let me clear first what is the meaning of ICAR. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) is an accreditation from the Central ministry of India related to study of agriculture which is given to those universities who are the best for this field means, if a university have all the resources in terms of labs, fields, well qualified and experienced staff and faculty, hi Tech labs, research background etc. Then this affiliation is given to only that university. It is very difficult for a university to meet the standards of ICAR. LPU is the first private university to be granted The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) accreditation by Ministry of Agriculture due to their excellency in the study of agriculture. Doing any course related to agriculture from ICAR accredited means you have all the skills and you are aware of all the tools and methods required for agriculture. This will help you for your career in private and government sector. So, dear student this the importance of ICAR. LPU meets the standard of ICAR. One more important information I want to share with you that due to COVID-19, admission process is online. Before LPU NEST you have to proceed for admission process before 30 June,2020. LPU is good university but I would suggest you go for you to choose Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana as it is a specialist university in agriculture and will have more experienced faculty in agriculture and this university have good scope.

As a student of Lovely Professional University, I can say that Lovely Professional University is the best private university for undergraduate degree. (Hons) Agriculture. If you are looking for a quality education and good internships, along with qualified teachers who work hard to place you with the best employers, then LPU is the right place for you. LPU College of Agriculture is ICAR accredited. Students who left LPU have found jobs in various departments and states. Lovely Professional University has made a name for itself in a short period of time by working hard for its students in terms of education, faculty, campuses, infrastructure, etc. He works for the overall development of his students. Its main objective is to provide students with a wide exposure both in the form of theoretical and practical knowledge, for which much emphasis is placed on workshops, live projects, etc. Along with classroom instruction. The university has provided quality education for all by providing good scholarships in different categories. The university prepares its students for internships through special services in the form of internships. Students receive plenty of on-the-job training and work on projects that also earn them money. University agricultural internships are very good and students receive high packages.
