Is LPU better university than some NIT and IIT for engineering? What is it's placements ratings?

How can you think of that? There are just some private colleges that are comparable to IIT and are above NIT. IIIT Hyderabad BITS Pilani are such colleges. I am not telling LPU is not good rather not better than IIT and of course old NIT. It may hold a better position when compared to newer NITs. Though because of its brand name LPU, the placement is good. But again, not comparable to any IIT. The average package matters not the highest one. Hence, LPU is a good option only if you have money to spend. IIT are the prestigious colleges of India and one such college other than IIT is IIIT Hyderabad. One of the best in computer Science and is comparable to IIT Bombay.

LPU is not a college like IIT's and NIT's because of its admission process. The curriculum of LPU is highly professional but still can't be executed due to poor quality and non-competitive nature of most students. There are still many students who perform well (not exceptionally) and take good placements. Also, I want you to face the truth of even IITs that they may be smarter but other than three four core branches, very few IITians go for a seven digit fresher’s salary. Also, there are students in top Institutes like NIT Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal who just waste their first year to relax and chill. Only, the few are cream and due to them, their names are hyped. They have less number, and hence relatively more perform well. Also, their admission process is tough (but marketed a huge by coaching institutes). Placements are not a case of institutes nowadays. Still, I am not saying, LPU is better than them. Only, if you not get admissions there, there is no one to stop you to beat the students of the elite institutes. All the best.
