In my opinion, you should definitely go for Mechanical Engineering at Chandigarh University. It all depends on the parameters on which you are comparing the institutions. Whether you look at the quality of the education being provided, or the new technologies being incorporated in the delivery of education, or the academic credentials of the faculty, or the job opportunities being offered, or even the average placement packages - Chandigarh University outperforms VIT in these parameters. Engineering programmes at Chandigarh University are very well designed. It is an ideal amalgamation of hands-on training and corporate exposure. The ranking of Chandigarh University by various institutions speaks volumes of the quality of engineering programmes being offered here. Packages being offered by the companies that recruit directly from Chandigarh University Campus are very high compared to other universities.

It would be a good choice to opt for Lovely Professional University as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. Here at LPU, you can get enrolled in any stream as per your interest and choice. Every year many students join the various engineering courses that are offered by LPU. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technology Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. University give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. I shouldn't even have to explain this one. Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can SEE my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology, XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. LPU is basically an industry oriented university not like the other universities focusing on just making students grasp the syllabus. Many people have their views that LPU students study less but to complete the statement, I would say that the students study less but work hard. The most prominent and wide tech fest for mech students GO Kart takes place in LPU for consecutive years and LPU is bagging the top position in the race.
